Cardfight!! Vanguard: This World is Cray-Dragon Empire (AND AN REQUEST)

What is up everybody? SimplyJeff is back and I must say I am sorry for not posting in awhile. I’m taking two summer classes and one was finishing while I was taking a midterm for a second class, so things have been a tad peanut-butter-and-banana-sandwich crazy. But I am back and I’m finally posting the second post in my mini-series This World is Cray. The purpose of this mini-series is to give a brief overview of the lore of each nation, and is in no way a fully detailed story. It’s a quick read with an interesting story. Check out the one I wrote on United Sanctuary too! Today’s nation is the Dragon Empire, and as the title suggests, there is a request at the end, so please check that out too. And, away we go!

Dragon Empire is by far the largest nation on Planet Cray, as shown in the map above. And as with any massive empire, there is bound to be civil unrest. Also, I mean come on, they’re all dragons. Dragons aren’t too well know for their diplomatic meetings. Dragon Empire consists of five clans, and each clan represents a different military branch.

Kagero is probably the most well-known clan of the Dragon Empire, and one of the most well-known clans overall. It was played by Kai in the first season of the anime, and is considered one of the Big 5, along with Royal Paladins, Shadow Paladins, Nova Grapplers, and Aqua Force. Anyway, back to Kagero. Kagero is lead by the power house that is Dragonic Overlord, the original restander, and they represent the air-force branch of the Dragon Empire military. They swoop in from the skies and scorch the ever-living crap out of the opposing forces. Personally, Kagero is one of my least favorite clans, but I’ll get into that in a later post.
The next clan I would like to talk about is Tachikaze. These mechanical dinosaurs and dinosaur tamers are lead by Tyrant, Deathrex and they are the Ground Assault units for the Dragon Empire. Next up to bat are the stealthy sectors of the Dragon Empire Army. Covert operations are performed by one of my personal favorite clans, Nubatama. Nubatama are lead by Stealth Dragon, Voidmaster and they stealthily strip away at the opponent’s defenses and wait for the perfect moment to strike fast and strike hard. I recently just finished my Nubatama deck, and I’ll most likely be posting it soon. Finally, we have the Black Ops group (not quite sure what the difference is between Covert operations and Black ops, so if someone could tell me that would be awesome.) known as Murakumo. Murakumo is lead by Dueling Dragon, ZANBAKU and, breaking away from lore for a quick second here, Murakumo was made because Bushiroad didn’t know how to handle Nubatama because the discard mechanic can be really overpowered.

Finally, we are down to our last clan. Narukami, the lightning dragons. They were created when all of Kagero was sealed away, which created the Sealed Dragon subclan in Kagero. There was turmoil throughout the Dragon Empire, until Narukami, lead by Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion showed up and help calm the rebellion.

Well, that completes the brief overview of Dragon Empire. I will be revisiting every clan individually at a later date, similar to what I did with Neo Nectar and Musketeers.

Now for the request I mentioned at the beginning and title. I have a YouTube channel which can be found here. As you can see, there is only one video on it. I would really like to fix that, and I am asking for all of your help. Simply leave a comment on this post or on reddit and tell me what you all would like to see. CFV is my main card game, but I do know a bit about Yugioh and Magic. Also, I play a lot of video games so I can do videos on that too. Thanks a bunch for your help everyone!

Well that’s it for this post. Once again feel free to contact me on reddit here or leave a reply on this thread for suggestions on what I should do next. I’ll try to get my posts out in a timely fashion, but do ask for understanding if I don’t. SimplyJeff, signing off.
